Both are used for driveways, drainage, landscaping and base — but they behave very differently. Crushed stone is mechanically crushed with sharp, angular edges that lock together and compact well, making it ideal for bases and driveways.
Gravel is naturally weathered with rounded edges. It drains beautifully and looks great in beds and paths, but shifts more underfoot and doesn’t compact as tightly. Choose crushed stone for structure, gravel for décor and drainage.
